Course access includes daily flashcards, a daily video lesson (around 10-15 minutes), practice problems in the video (3-5 minutes), suggested daily student work in Math Map booklet, a weekly assessment to check comprehension, an app for on-the-go access, and regular office hours for additional support. 

The courses are a monthly subscription for $10/month. You can cancel at any time.

If you prefer to purchase the course and have unlimited future access you can purchase the middle school level for $100.  This is a better financial option if you plan to use Math Explorers for multiple years and/or with multiple kids across time.

No.  Math Explorers is a supplement to teach math concepts for students already enrolled in Classical Conversations and participating in class.  Students will still need to purchase the Math Map products.

No.  This is an entirely digital product.  Occasionally additional resources are made available in PDF format that you can download and print.

The program follows the recommendation for Math Map using the "mastery" method - meaning the student focuses on learning a new concept and then completes the four student pages that match that concept.  So this often means that day one at home would include pages 1,5,9, and 13 from the student pages. Day 2 at home would be student pages 2,6,10, and 14, and so on.  

Currently, only one student level is available as an owned course - the middle school level (roughly Complex and Monomials).  

When other subscription levels have all of their material created, they will be available for purchase as well.

The Boot Camp (for directors/tutors/parents) is an owned course and available for purchase as well.

You can cancel your subscription anytime by clicking your picture in the upper right, select Settings, under Account Information click the Billing tab, next to your card information click Cancel Subscription.

Any adult wanting to learn the material (whether you are a director/tutor/ or parent) should complete the Boot Camp.  I gear the videos and discussions towards adults who are helping guide their students.

For the students, we offer three levels.  The original Math Explorers - Middle School, was created for Ch A and Ch B students working in Complex and Monomial booklets.  We've had many families with younger children who found the videos to be useful as well.  Even if you have a Ch A student who is working through a lower level with their math lessons (like Reals or Rationals), you should still enroll them in the Math Explorers - Middle School so they are receiving the math knowledge consistent with their level.  You can always tailor the work and complete fewer pages per day (it's common to have 2 pages instead of 4), or complete a lower level for the work at home.

Math Explorers - Binomials is meant to help students through freshmen algebra math concepts and calculations.  The level of calculations increased and therefore each of the high school levels will need their own course to teach the math concepts.

Math Explorers - Elementary is geared around the Fraction level of material but can be suitable for the mid-elementary level.  This is a nice option for students who are still building foundational math knowledge and are not ready for pre-algebra concepts.
